Location and cleanliness

Staff behaviour was rude and unfriendly especially at reception. Breakfast is below average and the water flow in the room was very slow. There was no hot water in the tap.

Room was very spacious and clean. Very close to Top Komtar. Got car park in the building. Got food outside of hotel. Friendly staff and security by name Mr Indra was very helpful. He gave a lot of info about places to go and eateries.

Staff at the reception not very friendly. Lift to car park doesn't lead to room. Have to come to lobby again and take another lift to room. Inconvenient if you are with a child or elderly. Location of hotel surrounded by alot of foreigners. Feel a little unsafe to walk around with a child or alone.

- The manager was incredibly helpful. He offered to upgrade me to a suite when there were no more of the double rooms available, and we negotiated to keep me in the suite at the same rate. I was VERY happy about that. - The suite had a lot of space and great lighting, far better than the double room I was staying in. I am so glad I got upgraded; it made spending the hot afternoons (which I choose to do work) much more enjoyable. - Aside from the pool deck, the pool itself is well-maintained. Their ridiculous rules about "no revealing swim clothing and no pool shorts" can be safely ignored, as no one is enforcing this nonsense. If you like fancy bars with western prices and easy grocery store and mall access, this place is great! I recommend getting groceries at Gama and saving money that way, so you can spend it at Good Friends Club and the other pricey but awesome nearby bars. 50-60MYR per cocktail as of 2024. - There is no nearby beach, I don't know what booking.com is talking about "Northram Beach." I guess Batu Ferrenghi is OK but it is pretty far. Be careful, this beach is not clean (you might find diapers and tampons in the water) so go to Langkawi if you want beaches.

- Breakfast was OK but not great. I stopped buying it to include with my room stay. I think more western options would have helped. - WiFi was ok, but video calls were pretty bad. I tried to call family and had a few video calls for work with my boss that kept getting cut short. I had to rely on my 4G through TuneTalk instead. - The pool deck has some serious damage. The hotel has signs up to ward you away, but the deck needs to be repaired. Someone could step right through the deck and break their ankle. - Kids show up in the pool and make it noisy but what can the hotel do about it.

The bathroom glass partition is not very good. After taking a shower, water can spread to the entire floor in the bathroom.

Comfort stay for couples of day. Location was so convenient, we took a public transport from komtar to Penang hill and Jetty place..

Reception staff must check in faster and always smile. When guest are present check in staff must speak in the language everybody understands, this is to avoid misunderstanding by guest.

Good views of the city, and was right in the route of the Chinese New Year celebration floats

The surrounding decking of the roof top pool was quite damaged and a bit of a risk hazard for my elderly mother.

Car park is inside the building so you won't get wet when it's raining.

Receptionist could be more friendly and informative. The lifts from car park to hotel rooms can be quite tricky. Soundproofing is somewhat thin. TV screen is not clear.

There was no bags provided with trash bins in the room.

The location is just perfect. The atmosphere is cozy. The dining area smells great.

The room card is not accessible for entrance and exit.

Check in was delayed even though informed by email. TV programs limited and quite boring. Shower water leaking into toilet area making it wet and dangerous.

Secure multi-level parking provided, easy access to central town, fast check-in/check-out procedure, comfortable bed.

Disturbed sleep because of inconsiderate bunch of hotel’s guests at level 21 during my stay, make a lot of noise, chit chatting at the corridor at 2 am.
